Weight Control

Guggul Extract, 2 oz.

Guggul is very similar to myrrh and is widely used in Ayurveda to increase metabolism. Being thermogenic, it is slightly deranging to pitta but very useful for kapha disorders, including obesity and congestion. It is also used to regulate the thyroid and is considered beneficial for vata types unless the patient is suffering from spasms or hiccups. It should not be used during pregnancy. Guggul reduces stickiness and is therefore considered preventative for people at risk of strokes and heart attacks.

Guggul resin is obtained by making cuts in the tree stems and bark. The gum that flows is high in minerals which is why this remedy has been assigned to ashti dhatu. Excess lipids are removed and the minerals are used to regenerate bones and teeth.

Ingredients: 1:1 extract of Commiphora mukul resin in Organic Alcohol and Distilled Water.

Secondly, they are anti-inflammatory and have an action on the brain that suppresses appetite, and this function works in tandem with a lipolytic effect that makes it easier to lose weight. Lastly, it has an effect on melanin that aids restoration of hair and skin color.
