Ashwagandha Extract, 2 oz.
Withania somnifera

Ashwagandha holds a premier place in the Ayurvedic pharmacopeia. It is both a rasayana herb, meaning one that aids the quality of life and longevity, as well as an adaptogen, an herb that improves our ability to cope with stress. This herb has a multitude of uses but to understand how research of prized Indian herbs is conducted, it is useful to consider how well an herb protects the patient from damaging changes when exposed to chemical, metallic, or radioactive hazards and how successfully the herb protects against free radicals. Ashwagandha is very high on the list of such valuable herbs, but it is most often used to improve male potency and endurance.

Alcohol: 49-51%

Contents: 1:2 extract of organic Withania somnifera in Distilled Water, Organic Alcohol, and Vegetable Glycerin.

Codonopsis Extract, 2 oz.
Codonopsis Tangshen

Codonopsis is sometimes referred to as the poor man's ginseng. It is rich in saponins and has a capacity to penetrate and cleanse tissues. It is considered particularly beneficial to the lungs, spleen, and stomach. Research shows that it reduces blood pressure and increases immunity and hemoglobin. It is an adaptogen and supports the adrenals. There is significant research suggesting that use of codonopsis during and after radiation treatment can be very helpful.

Alcohol: 24-26%

Contents: Codonopsis Tangshen root in distilled water, organic alcohol, and vegetable glycerin.

Eleuthero Root Extract, 2 oz.
Eleutherococcus senticosus

Eleutherococcus senticosus is an adaptogen but not a true ginseng. It is sometimes called pseudo or Siberian ginseng but it is not actually a ginseng. It has blood sugar lowering effects and has been shown to bind estrogen receptors and stimulate T-lymphocyte activity and natural killer cell production. It is normally taken to increase coping margins and stamina, but it sometimes stimulates in a manner that makes it necessary to observe patients with hypertension carefully before using higher than recommended dosages. In China, this herb is taken by those suffering from bone marrow suppression following chemotherapy and radiation.

Alcohol: 40%

Contents: Eleutherococcus senticosus in distilled water, organic grain alcohol, and pure vegetable glycerin.

He Shou Wu Extract, 2 oz.
Polygonum multiflorum

He Shou Wu or Fo Ti is a famous Chinese longevity herb. It is used to prevent premature graying of the hair as well as to regenerate the body. The herb aids circulation and is good for the heart and blood. It also soothes mucous membranes, especially in the gastrointestinal system. It is therefore deeply supportive of proper digestion and assimilation. It is mildly stimulating of peristalsis so it also gently improves elimination and gradually supports deep cleansing. Additionally, it is immune boosting and improves male libido and fertility.

Alcohol: 24-26%

Contents: extract of Polygonum multiflorum in organic alcohol and distilled water.

Jatobá Extract, 2 oz.

Traditionally, jatoba is used to increase stamina. It has none of the side effects of caffeine or ephedra.

Jatoba is non-toxic, but it has a blood sugar lowering effect and should be monitored with patients with blood sugar regulation issues.
